Connect Ploofy to SkyrimNet

SkyrimNet’s official project supports OpenAI-compatible language-model services. The exact custom-provider controls vary by release, so first check which configuration interface your installed version exposes.

Before you connect

Create your Ploofy account, confirm your email or sign in with a supported provider, and complete the account’s required verification and policy steps. Subscribe from your hub when a spot is available. The subscription is $19.99 USD per month, billed monthly, with five-hour and weekly usage limits. Your hub shows the remaining allowance and reset times.

In your hub, create and name an API key for this client. Copy it when it is first displayed; it cannot be revealed again. Keep it in the client’s private settings. Ploofy does not email your API key. If it is lost or shared, revoke it and create a replacement.

Check your installed SkyrimNet version

Use the official SkyrimNet project and its current feature documentation for installation and provider support. Open your installed release’s language-model/provider configuration. Choose a custom or OpenAI-compatible service only if your version actually offers it.

Some setup wizards configure a specific service automatically. A field labelled OpenRouter API key still expects an OpenRouter key; putting a Ploofy key there does not change the destination server. Do not overwrite a working preset without saving your current configuration first.

Use these Ploofy values

  1. Set the language-model destination to Ploofy. If your version asks for a base URL, use the base URL above. If it asks for the complete chat endpoint, use the full chat completions URL. Check your release’s documentation to distinguish these fields.
  2. Save your Ploofy key in that provider’s private API-key setting, and select a public model ID your key can access.
  3. If your release routes dialogue and other jobs separately, assign the Ploofy provider to the intended roleplay dialogue job. Changing one route may not change all others.
  4. Save the configuration and try a short NPC dialogue. Confirm that the request actually goes to Ploofy rather than a previously selected provider.

Use the public model IDs

The current Ploofy lineup is sage, novelist, bard, and swift. Enter the lowercase ID, not a model’s underlying download name. Your account and the authenticated model list show which models your key can currently access. Availability can change while a model is offline.

If no custom endpoint setting is available

We have verified the project’s general compatible-provider support, but have not verified a single custom-endpoint screen across every SkyrimNet release. We therefore do not prescribe an unverified menu path or configuration-file key. Contact Ploofy support with your exact SkyrimNet version and a redacted screenshot of its provider settings before changing files. Keep your key hidden.

Ploofy is the text language-model service. SkyrimNet’s speech recognition, voice generation, game installation, and any separate hosting options remain separately configured. Do not put the Ploofy key in a speech or voice API field.

When a connection fails

For help, email support@ploofy.ai with your client version, model ID, and error code. Never include your API key, payment details, or private conversations. These instructions describe verified configuration interfaces; a successful connection on your installed client still needs a short in-client test.
